Toyota Sienna Oil Change (2011+ 3.5L)

Toyota Sienna Oil Change Procedure:

  • Warm the engine up to operating temp
  • Check engine oil level on dipstick to verify no prior issues
  • Remove oil pan drain plug using the 14mm wrench and let the engine oil drain into the drain pan
  • If new oil filter comes with filter drain tool, (aftermarket filters sometimes do not include it) remove oil filter drain and install spout to drain into drain pan (if not, housing can be removed with out it but it will drain over the canister)
  • Remove oil filter cartridge using 64mm oil filter socket
  • Remove and replace oil filter with new O ring on housing
  • Clean oil drain plug and oil filter mounting surfaces
  • Install engine oil filter housing with new filter and O ring
  • Reinstall and tighten oil drain plug using 14mm wrench
  • Fill the engine with 6.4 quarts of engine oil with oil fill funnel and reinstall oil fill cap
  • Start engine to let oil circulate, build oil pressure (Check for any leaks or abnormalities while running) and shut engine back down
  • Check engine oil level & top off if necessary
  • Reset the maintenance required light
