Nissan Rogue Oil Change (2014+)
Perform your own Nissan Rogue oil change and you can be sure it was done right, while saving money and time compared to taking it to a shop. This guide is specifically for the 2014 and above Nissan Rogue equipped with a 2.5L engine (QR25). To find other Nissan oil change guides, follow this page.
Tools Needed:
- 14mm wrench
- Filter wrench
- Oil fill funnel
- Drain pan with at least 5 qt capacity
- Ramps or a jack with jack stands
- Clean rag

2014+ Nissan Rogue Oil Change Procedure:
- Warm engine to operating temp
- Check engine oil on dipstick to verify no issues
- Raise front end by driving up ramps or jacking up the vehicle and securing it with jack stands
- Loosen the oil pan drain plug using the 14mm wrench and let the engine oil drain into the drain pan
- Remove oil filter which is found in engine bay behind passenger side front tire using the oil filter wrench and let it drain into drain pan
- Clean oil drain plug and oil filter mounting surfaces
- Lubricate new oil filter O ring and install To block
- Reinstall and tighten oil drain plug once all old engine oil has drained
- Fill engine with 4.5 quarts of engine oil with oil fill funnel and reinstall oil fill cap
- Lower vehicle off ramps or jack stands using the jack
- Start vehicle to let engine oil pressure build and then shut engine back down
- Check engine oil level when vehicle is on level ground
- If needed, top off with fresh engine oil until dip stick reads Full
