Honda Civic Si Oil Change (2017+)

Tools Needed:
- 17mm wrench or socket and ratchet
- Flat head screw driver
- Phillips head screw driver
- Filter wrench
- Oil fill funnel
- Drain pan with at least 4 quart capacity
- Clean rag
- Vehicle ramps or a jack and jack stands

2017+ Honda Civic Si Oil Change Procedure:
- Warm engine to operating temp
- Check engine oil level and condition on the dipstick to verify no issues
- Raise the front end by driving onto ramps or using the jack and jack stands
- Drop the skid plate by removing the 2 front screws with the Phillips head screwdriver and loosening the remaining clips by using the flat head screwdriver to turn them a quarter turn
- Drain the oil by removing the oil pan drain plug using the 17mm wrench (or socket and ratchet) and let the engine oil drain into the drain pan
- Remove the oil filter by using your oil filter wrench
- Clean oil drain plug and oil filter mounting surfaces
- Lubricate the new oil filter O ring and install
- Reinstall and tighten oil drain plug using the 17mm wrench or socket and ratchet
- Fill engine with 3.5 quarts of engine oil with oil fill funnel and reinstall oil fill cap
- Start engine to let oil circulate (Check for any leaks or abnormalities while running) and shut engine back down
- Reinstall the skid plate
- Lower the front end by driving off the ramps or using the jack and jack stands
- Check engine oil level once the front end is on level ground & add more if necessary to reach the full mark on the dip stick
