Duramax Fuel Filter Change (2017+ 6.6L L5P)

A Duramax fuel filter change is a necessary part of routine maintenance. It should be done when the trucks maintenance indicator tells you at a minimum and it is not uncommon to get a bad batch of diesel and have to do it sooner. This guide is specific to the 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 6.6L Duramax (L5P) engines found in Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 trucks.
